Terms of Service

Overview

These terms govern your use of the Contenta Shopify app (“the App”), operated by Chris Chidgey (“Contenta,” “we,” “us”). By installing the App, you agree to these terms.

What the App does

The Contenta App provides a dashboard embedded in your Shopify admin showing your month-to-date online sales, commission tracking, weekly work updates, and performance data. The App is used in conjunction with Contenta’s SEO, content, and social media services as defined in your separate engagement agreement.

Eligibility

The App is available to Shopify merchants who have entered into a service engagement with Contenta. Installation is by invitation only via a direct link provided by Contenta.

Permissions and access

During installation, the App requests access to your Shopify store data including orders, products, themes, pages, navigation, and content. These permissions are required for Contenta to deliver the services described in your engagement agreement. You may revoke access at any time by uninstalling the App.

Your responsibilities

• Maintain an active Shopify store in good standing.
• Provide accurate information during onboarding.
• Review and approve any changes to your store that require your sign-off, as outlined in your engagement agreement.

Service engagement

The App is a tool that supports the services described in your engagement agreement with Contenta. Pricing, commission rates, baselines, and engagement terms are governed by that separate agreement — not by these terms. Installing the App alone does not create a service engagement.

Data and privacy

Your data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We do not sell or share your data with third parties. We do not collect personal information from your customers.

Modifications to your store

As part of the services we provide, we may make changes to your Shopify store including but not limited to: product descriptions, page content, blog posts, theme code, navigation menus, meta tags, and structured data. All changes are made in the course of delivering the SEO, content, and social media services outlined in your engagement agreement.

Limitation of liability

Contenta provides the App and services “as is.” We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App. Our total liability is limited to the fees paid under your engagement agreement in the three months preceding any claim.

Termination

You may uninstall the App at any time. Uninstalling the App immediately revokes our access to your Shopify store data. Termination of the App does not automatically terminate your service engagement — see your engagement agreement for those terms.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the App or by email. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Idaho, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
